The site went down on Sunday due to a Denial Of Service (DOS) Attack on the hostproviders DNS servers. This attack brought down both DNS servers, thereby taking the website and my email down along with it. It’s the same thing that happened last week.
The hostprovider is trying to come up with a solution to protect against these constant, irritating f’ing attacks, but really there’s not much protection against them, other than constantly changing DNS Servers and having redundancies in place, which we did over the last few days. Hopefully this will be the last of the outtages for awhile, but somehow I don’t think it will be. In the future, please not send me email telling me the site is down, I’m fully aware of this fact and usually when the site goes down, my email will not work anyway as it’s tied to the site.thanksmichelle
