Freaky Friday Is A Lot of Fun! by DHass

“”Freaky Friday”” starring Jamie Lee Curtis (True Lies) and Lindsay Lohan(The Parent Trap) is a wonderful heartfelt movie. It is definately a rainy afternoon need a break from everything type of movie. The simple plot, of widowed Mother, Ellen (Curtis), and angry teenager, Annabel(Lohan), who are constantly battling with one another learn what its really like to be in each other’s shoes. Now Ellen must re-live highschool and all its perks of bullys, teachers and of course the hottie crush.

This of course, leaves Annabel stuck in the real world full of responsibilities, such as a career, being nice to her little brother and planning a wedding. Not to mention the added pressure of Annabel having to go through with her mother’s wedding and Ellen playing guitar at the House of Blues for Annabel’s garage band “”Pink Slip’s”” first real gig. If you’ve seen the older version of this movie, which stars Jodie Foster you’ll love this movie too. This version has been brought into a more 2003 modern time, having Annabel in a Garage band more so than being a competitive water skier. It also has the Mother being a hardworking single mother instead of a hardworking house wife. The one thing which does remains the same is the plot line of switching bodies in order to save the mother daughter relationship. Yes, there is heartfelt tears and cute moments throughout the movie. So, boys beware when your girlfriend drags you to the movie. Some things may be predictable, but for what this movie is, which is pure entertainment, it definately delivers. An added bonus is the soundtrack. It is full of great punk songs that have you you tapping your foot during each scene. Some of the songs are remakes, which will have you think “”Wow, this is a great take on an old classic!””. In fact, after you’ve seen the movie, I would suggest going to pick up the CD. It may even come in handy on a day when you need some cheering up.This movie is a A for full on laughs and a vibrant soundtrack, which picks up your spirits. Definately see this movie if you have just had a stressful day at school, work, or just in general. It is a mood pleaser and basicly just a lot of fun!
