The first Electronic Music Awards & Foundation show will air on FOX on Saturday, April 23rd (8/7C) – honoring the best in electronic music and the trailblazing artists that helped build the genre into what it is today. For details, follow the jump.

INAUGURAL “ELECTRONIC MUSIC AWARDS & FOUNDATION” SHOW, CELEBRATING THE BEST IN ELECTRONIC MUSIC, TO AIR SATURDAY, APRIL 23, ON FOX

Los Angeles-based production company TV4 Entertainment, electronic music luminary Paul Oakenfold and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) today announced a partnership to create and broadcast the inaugural ELECTRONIC MUSIC AWARDS & FOUNDATION show, to air Saturday, April 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Filming on April 14 at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles, the first-ever Electronic Music Awards & Foundation (EMAF) show will feature electronic music’s leading artists, creatives, executives and visionaries (to be announced). Among those being honored are the early trailblazers and legends of electronic music, as well as the top-trending acts of today. The show will feature red carpet coverage, awards presentations, interviews and live performances from electronic music’s biggest artists.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of an awards show that finally both recognizes and celebrates, on a primetime platform, one of the biggest music genres in the world today,” said executive producer Oakenfold.

The Electronic Music Awards & Foundation show is executive-produced by Paul Duddridge (former U.K. comedy agent/producer and now Head of Entertainment Productions at TV4), TV4 Entertainment CEO Jon Cody and Paul Oakenfold. The show will be directed by Russell Thomas (“MTV EMA Awards” (2011-15), “Katy Perry: Part of Me”).
