48 Hours is doing a piece on the online game Ever Quest tonight, and by the clip the entire premise of the piece is incredibly stupid. Apparently some 21 year old committed suicide, and the mother is blaming the game. Saying that when her Son’s character died, he thought he died as well. Well hello?????? He could have just created another character.
They also show a quick VO of that idiot Ben Stein talking about how his kid is addicted to the game, and they show the kid playing it.
I’m so sick of these news programs and parents rights groups blaming pop culture because their kids are f’ed up. Why not take a little personal responsibility.
What ever happened to the notion of, oh, I don’t know PARENTING??????
