CBS has won the distinction of being the first broadcast network to own the top ten since the introduction of the live + same day ratings system. For the week ending February 14th, CBS shows ranked one through ten – and had thirteen shows in the top twenty.

CBS BECOMES THE FIRST NETWORK WITH ALL OF THE TOP 10 BROADCASTS OF THE WEEK IN THE LIVE + SAME DAY RATINGS ERA 

Top 10 Broadcasts Span Drama, Comedy and News Spread Over Six Nights

Showcasing the depth and breadth of its lineup, CBS scored all of the week’s top 10 broadcasts, covering drama, comedy and news spread out over six nights, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 14.

This marks the first time since Nielsen started reporting live plus same day ratings (December 2005) that any network delivered all of the top 10 programs in a single week.

CBS won the week in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week. CBS’s top 10 broadcasts included NCIS, THE BIG BANG THEORY, CAMPAIGN 2016 REPUBLICAN DEBATE, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, SCORPION, BLUE BLOODS, 60 MINUTES, MADAM SECRETARY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and LIFE IN PIECES.

CBS had the week’s top eight broadcast dramas and top three comedies.

Among adults 18-49, THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week’s top broadcast, with NCIS, CAMPAIGN 2016 REPUBLICAN DEBATE, SCORPION and LIFE IN PIECES all finishing in the top 10 (including ties).

Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.74m), adults 18-49 (2.5) and adults 25-54 (3.4).

THE AMAZING RACE

  • The spring premiere of THE AMAZING RACE was first in viewers (6.09m), adults 25-54 (1.7/05) and adults 18-49 (1.3/05). Compared to last February’s Friday premiere (on Feb. 27, 2015), THE AMAZING RACE was up +18% in adults 18-49 (from 1.1/04) and even in adults 25-54. Compared to the fall 2015 premiere (on Sept. 25, 2015), THE AMAZING RACE was up +8% in adults 18-49 (from 1.2/05) and added +270,000 viewers (from 5.82m, +5%).

SCORPION

  • SCORPION was first in viewers (11.36m) and adults 25-54 (3.0/08), with an increase of +11% in adults 18-49 (2.0/06 from 1.9/06), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07) and +6% in viewers (from 10.69m) from its last first-run episode on Jan. 25.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  • NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in viewers (9.75m), adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05), tying its season-best adults 18-49 ratings for the third time in the last four first-run broadcasts.

ABC – 21 hours and 54 minutes
