New Show Experiences Triple-Digit Growth Online, on YouTube and in Social Followers
The CBS Television Network’s new late night series, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN, launched with a big bang on social media and digital platforms.
The show’s new YouTube channel experienced 330% growth in subscribers during its first week on-air. The shows segments – including “Every Tom Hanks Movie in 7 Minutes” and “Mariah Carey Carpool Karaoke” – also went viral, racking up more than 20 million views in total in the first week. Clips from this week’s episodes are also taking off, including “David Beckham and James Corden’s New Underwear Line” and last night’s epic April Fool’s prank “Katie Couric Pranks James Corden.”
The social chatter around THE LATE LATE SHOW also delivered huge growth over the same time period the previous year. Fans and followers of the new show on Twitter and Facebook are up double- to triple-digits, respectively. According to Nielsen Social, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN was also the most-social broadcast show in its time period in its first week and second among all late night talk shows.
On CBS.com, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN experienced triple-digit growth in all key metrics over the same time period last year, including unique viewers and visitors.
