The end of S5.22, Swan Song left us with Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) shattered down to his very soul over the loss of Sam and knowing (he thinks) where and what his brother had to go to. Left us with Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) standing outside of the place where his brother has sought out retreat and sanctuary (but not a reprieve from the pain) looking in. It left us with the question of how did Sam Winchester get out of hell?
This Friday night, September 24th at 9 PM EST, Supernatural season six premieres with S6.01 Exile on Main Street. With the apocalypse avoided, Dean and Sam Winchester have a whole new direction to go into and they will be doing it under the guidance of Sera Gamble, who also wrote the episode, as she steps into her role as the new show runner.
Sera Gamble started out as a story editor in Supernatural season one with S1.2, Wendigo and S1.3 Dead in the Water as story editor/writer. These were the first episodes to mark this talented lady’s introduction in the world of Supernatural. Like the series itself, Sera Gamble has come a long way since season one premiered back in September of 2005. Throughout the past five seasons of Supernatural, Sera Gamble has progressed from writer/story editor, to executive producer.
Eclipse Magazine got to participate in a round table interview with Sera at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con. Check out what Sera had to say about her new duties and the new direction for Sam, Dean and Supernatural.
