About Angie Tribeca
Real, brooding and shockingly alive, TBS’s first-ever police procedural Angie Tribeca is the brainchild of Steve and Nancy Carell, who are executive-producing the series through their Carousel Television. The series follows a squad of committed LAPD detectives who investigate the most serious cases, from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.
At the center of Angie Tribeca is Angie Tribeca, played by Rashida Jones in the performance of a lifetime as a lone-wolf detective who is none too happy when partnered with J Geils, played by Hayes MacArthur. Jere Burns plays the squad’s apoplectic captain. Helping solve each complex case are detective Danny Tanner, played by Deon Cole; Dr. Monica Scholls, the quirky, bespectacled medical examiner played by Andrée Vermeulen; and Hoffman, Tanner’s K9 German Shepard partner played by Jagger.
In November, TBS announced that it will introduce viewers to its first-ever police procedural with a massive, 25-hour, international, multiplatform launch on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), giving subscribers the chance to binge on all 10 episodes of the first season commercial-free. Angie Tribeca will then move to its regular timeslot, Mondays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), beginning Jan. 25.
In conjunction with its U.S. debut, TBS’s Angie Tribeca will roll out on numerous Turner International entertainment networks in January. Turner’s Latin American and German networks are set to join the 25-hour marathon on Jan. 17, while Spanish, Nordic and Asian networks (both truTV and Warner TV) will premiere all first-season episodes at one time.
TBS has already renewed Angie Tribeca for a record 10 additional seasons consisting of one episode each, giving viewers a season premiere and season finale in one really tight package. The new seasons are slated to air in late 2016.
