FX Schedules Preview Of Wilfred’s Season Two Premiere!

In an attempt to further build on the success of its (very) original comedy, Wilfred, FX is scheduling a multi-platform launch for the show’s second season premiere for June 14th online and on Video on Demand, June 21st on FX, with an all-new episode debuting on June 28th in the show’s regular timeslot, Thursdays, 10:30/9:30C.

Wilfred’s Stars Talk Successful First Season!

Elijah Wood and Jason Gann have a cable hit on their hands with Wilfred [FX, Thursdays, 10/9C], the heartwarming series about a lonely, unsettled ex-lawyer and the dog he sees as a hulking Australian man in a cheap dog suit – or rather, the ribald, rude series about an underachieving ex-lawyer who is manipulated by the selfish, arrogant titular hound [or maybe a bit of both…] – which concludes its critically acclaimed first season this week..

I recently had the opportunity to take part in a conference call Q&A with Wood and Gann, who spoke at length about the show’s successful first season and the first season finale.

Mary Steenburgen Guest Stars This Week on Wilfred!

Academy Award® winner Mary Steenburgen will make a guest starring appearance in “Compassion,” the first of two back-to-back episodes of WILFRED airing this Thursday night at 10/9C PM and 10:30/9:30 on FX. Mary stars as Catherine, Ryan’s (Elijah Wood) free-spirited and frequently absent mother. When Catherine approaches Ryan for emotional support, he realizes that mother and son are much more alike than he imagined. The blurbs for Thursday’s episodes follow the jump.

LOUIE: Louis C.K. stars in LOUIE on FX.

FX has put together an hour of unstoppable comedy for Thursday nights in Wilfred [10/9C] and Louie [10:30/9:30C]. Wilfred revolves around a suicidal lost soul who sees his neighbor’s dog as a tall Australian man in a cheap dog suit, while Louie continues the ongoing saga of a divorced, middle-aged stand-up comic who has to be a part-time dad and deal with life as a recently single guy.
