Hawaii Five-0–You Choose The Bad Guy!

When Hawaii Five-0 returns on Monday, January 14th (11/10C), the big mystery will be the identity of the person who kills an O’ahu State University professor. There will be three main suspects – his boss, his teaching assistant and one of his students. The big kicker is that – for the first time on primetime television – the culprit will be chosen by you, the audience, in real time! How cool is that?

There are so many of quality shows on TV that it’s actually quite amazing. Picking a ‘Top Ten’ would be a huge challenge, so I’ll be sharing the fifteen shows I most enjoyed watching this year.

There are only two comedies in the fifteen, but the shows I’ve most enjoyed this year have leaned more to the dramatic and melodramatic. That’s just me. Your mileage may vary.

Cable Channel for ‘Millennials’ Coming Next Summer!

If you’re between 18-34, and feel like you’re being ignored by the media, an as yet unnamed cable network is planned to provide viewers in your demographic with ‘Entertainment That Matters For Viewers 18-34.’ The network is being launched by Participant Media (An Inconvenient Truth, Promised Land) and is a cooperative effort that is supported by The Jim Henson Company, Meghan McCain, Morgan Spurlock, Mary Harron, Gotham Chopra, Timothy Scott Bogart, and Cineflix Media, among others.

Fox Kicks Off Its 2013 Winter Schedule on January 6th!

 

As original episodes of network shows cease for the holiday season, it helps to know when one’s favorites are returning (it offsets the ups and downs of the holiday season) and what new shows are coming up.

Fox has just released its 2013 Winter schedule with its exceptionally good new drama, The Following (above left) – which brings Kevin Bacon to series television – set to premiere on Monday, January 21st – following Bones.

All-new episodes of Bones return (beginning with a two-hour premiere!) on January 14th; Idol’s new season beginning on January 16th; Fringe beginning its final countdown on January 11th, and the return of all-Animation Domination episodes on January 6th. Plus, Kiefer Sutherland vehicle Touch (above right) introduces its new cast members in its two-hour, second season premiere Feb 8th.
