Cote de Pablo, the much loved Ziva David in CBS drama NCIS, has been tapped to star in CBS miniseries, The Dovekeepers. Based on Alice Hoffman’s bestseller about the Siege of Masada, The Dovekeepers comes from producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, who produced the 10-hour miniseries The Bible for History.
The novel tells the story of four women whose lives intersect during the siege. De Pablo will play Shirah, a fiercely independent single mother. The Dovekeepers will be broadcast in 2015. For more, follow the jump.
The ninth-season finale of NCIS (CBS, Tuesdays, 9/8C) ending with the explosion of a car bomb at NCIS headquarters, left the fates of Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ team, NCIS Director Leon Vance and forensics expert Abby Scuitto up in the air – and precipitated a heart attack that left Dr. Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard lying, seemingly alone, on a beach. The show’s tenth season premiere, Extreme Prejudice, picks up shortly thereafter.
Few television programs and boast of increased ratings over several seasons. NCIS [CBS, Tuesdays, 8/7C] recently hit a series high – in its eighth season! This week’s episode, Recruited, displays the balance of procedural and character that has enabled the series to flourish for so long.
Season seven of NCIS was, quite possibly, the show’s best yet. Over the course of the season, characters faced personal challenges that more than rivalled the cases they were working on. Throughout, the writing, performances and direction kept things moving and the audience involved.
