Starz Sets Second Season Premiere Dates for Ash vs. Evil Dead and Blunt Talk!

Ash vs. Evil Dead and Blunt Talk might not see, at first glance, to be the most logical of pairings for an evening of TV – and yet, Starz has scheduled them to return on the same night: Sunday, October 2nd at 8/7C (Ash) and 8:30/7:30 (Blunt Talk).

The only link I see between the two is that they are extremely funny in thierown unique ways. Maybe that’s enough.

Blunt Talk: Patrick Stewart Takes On Comedy – And Wins!

Blunt Talk (Starz, Saturdays, 9/8C) is both the title of the ongoing series featuring a well-intentioned British talk show host in America and the low-rated nightly news and views show he hosts on minor cable network UBM. The series was created (and mostly written by) Jonathan Ames (Bored to Death) and stars Sir Patrick Stewart as Walter Blunt.

The concept is that Blunt, while anchoring a news show and attempting to dispense wisdom along with the news, has a very chaotic life – in which he continually undermines himself in spite of the best efforts of Blunt Talk’s production team and his faithful valet.

Starz Goes Two-For-Two For Online Comedy Previews!

Starz is offering early online looks at two of its comedy series – Survivor’s Remorse and Blunt Talk.

The second season premiere of Survivor’s Remorse is now streaming exclusively on Executive Producer LeBron James’ Facebook page, while the series premiere of Blunt Talk is being streamed on star Patrick Stewart’s Facebook page.

As well, Starz is streaming season one of Survivor’s Remorse and the first two episodes of Blunt Talk on multiple platforms.

Starz Comedies Blunt Talk and Survivor’s Remorse Set For August!

Starz has set the series premiere of Blunt Talk (above) and second season premiere of Survivor’s Remorse for Saturday, August 22nd.

Blunt Talk, about an expatriate Brit talk show host who thinks he’s in America to share his wisdom and wit – but is mostly misguided on all levels – premieres at 9/8C.

Survivor’s Remorse, about a basketball phenom who has gotten out of the ‘hood with a big NBA contract and is trying to not forget his roots while attempting to negotiate the many levels of his new life, follows at 9:30/8:30C.

Starz Orders Two Seasons of Seth MacFarlane Series!

Starz has ordered two ten-episode seasons of Blunt Talk from Media Rights Capital. The series, from the minds of Seth MacFarlane and Jonathan Ames, is a bout a transplanted British cable news host who uses the show as a platform to tell Americans how they should live, think and behave. Patrick Stewart will play the lead, Walter Blunt.
