One of the all-time great animated series of all time is coming back – Hulu is bringing back Animaniacs. New episodes will premiere in 2020.
The series will be a Hulu/Amblin Television/Warner Bros. Animation co-production with Steven Spielberg as an executive producer.
The deal to bring Animaniacs also brings the complete libraries of Animaniacs and Tiny Toons to Hulu.
CBS’ american Gothic has cast its first leads: Justin Chatwin (Orphan Black) and Megan Ketch (Under the Dome).
Chatwin plays Cam, ‘a sensitive, introspective artist and recovering drug addict,’ while Ketch is Tessa, ‘a bright, nurturing public school teacher.’
American Gothic is slated to premiere in Summer 2016 and is about a prominent Boston family that makes a chilling discovery about some unexpected skeletons in their collective closet. For more, follow the jump.
The last time Steven Spielberg, Amblin Television and Syfy collaborated on a project it was for the Emmy-winning miniseries Taken.
Now they are working on an adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s classic novel, Brave New World – to be written by Les Bohem – who wrote Taken – penning the script.
Set in a seeming utopian world where there is no war, disease or poverty, Brave New World posits a system where those who do not conform are sent to ‘reservations’ while those who do are rewarded with mind-bending drugs, free sex and rampant consumerism. Then it ask if the price paid for this utopia is too high.

George Lucas leads into a 24-hour salute to fantasy films in the latest edition of TCM’s A Night at the Movies – TCM Presents A Night at the Movies: George Lucas & The World of Fantasy Cinema – on Tuesday, November 25th (8/7C). During the one-hour special, Lucas will take viewers on a tour of some of the movies that sparked his imagination and inspired his work.
Following the Lucas appearance on A Night at the Movies, TCM will roll out a lineup of classic genre fare that includes the original 1947 The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, starring Danny Kaye, The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao (1964), The Thief of Baghdad (1940) and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958).
