Five year time jump! Say what?
When Pretty Little Liars returns for their winter premiere on Freeform (for thus shall ABC Family be rebranded) on January 12, 2016 (8/7C), there will be a five-year time jump.
In light of this development, ABC Family will air the special, Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward – in which the cast and crew discuss this highly anticipated event. New sets, new jobs, new loves (?) – all will be discussed and there will be a couple of scenes to whet PLL fans’ appetites even further.

THE CAST AND CREW OF “PRETTY LITTLE LIARS” REVEAL DETAILS BEHIND THE HIGHLY ANCITIPATED FIVE-YEAR TIME JUMP IN “PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: FIVE YEARS FORWARD,” AIRING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH AT 8:00 – 9:00 P.M., ET/PT ON ABC FAMILY
Burbank, CA (November 18, 2015) – In advance of the celebrated return of the hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” the cast and crew sit down to discuss the highly anticipated series time jump with “Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward,” a one-hour, behind-the-scenes special airing Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
To give viewers a taste of what’s to come, the special episode will reveal what the Liars have been up to inside and outside of Rosewood over the past five years. In addition to featuring conversations surrounding new careers and love interests, the episode will feature interviews with the team behind the Liars’ new looks. Fans will also be offered a glimpse at brand-new PLL sets and two new scenes that won’t be seen anywhere else. Plus, the PLL moms speculate about what happened to their characters after getting locked in the basement.
