“xXx – State of the Union” is a very early summer popcorn adventure. Leave your brain at the door and hop on this military shoot ’em up. Story deals with intrigue in D.C. Lots of wild stunts, pyrotechnics, demolitions, and rap music. Very violent (but chaste) for its “PG-13” rating. GRADE = “B”

“The Interpreter”

“The Interpreter” is a long, complicated suspense thriller with good performances, photography, and sound. Story deals with a plot concerning a planned assassination at a United Nations assembly. Once again, it’s the case of – if you can avoid the trailers, you will enjoy the movie much more. GRADE = “B-”
