Conan O’Brien is First American Late-Night Host to Film in Armenia
Latest Road Trip for TBS’s CONAN to Air Nov. 10
TBS‘s late-night show CONAN is on the road again as host Conan O’Brien prepares to become the first American late-night host ever to do a show from Armenia. Joining Conan will be his longtime assistant Sona Movsesian, who is of Armenian descent. It will be her first time visiting the country, as well. The episode is set to air Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) and will be available across the TBS and Team Coco digital and mobile platforms the following day.
“I think it’s every boss’s responsibility to take their assistant back to their ancestral land,” said Conan. “That’s why I’m going to make sure my next assistant was born in a five-star resort in Tuscany.”
This marks Conan’s third adventure this year. The show generated a lot of buzz recently with late-night television’s first-ever week of shows from Comic-Con International® in San Diego. And in the spring, Conan made headlines as the first American late-night host to shoot in Cuba in more than 50 years. He has also done shows from New York, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta.
As with his past trips, Conan’s travels in Armenia will showcase his unique ability to drop into a location without a script and deliver an entertaining yet highly informative show. Conan is also planning to do shows from various locations around the globe 2016. Details on those special episodes will be revealed over the next few months.
CONAN airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT). The show is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as executive producer.
