TBS has greenlit heaven-sent anthology comedy series Miracle Workers starring Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson.
The first season of Miracle Workers will be a Heaven-set workplace comedy based on Rich’s book What in God’s Name. Radcliffe will play Craig, a low level angel responsible for handling all of humanity’s prayers and Owen Wilson will play Craig’s boss, God, who has pretty much checked out to focus on his favorite hobbies. To prevent Earth’s destruction, Craig must achieve his most impossible miracle to date.
Heaven Sent will launch is 2018.

TBS and Super Deluxe are developing an interactive late block of programming to further engage the mobile-first generation.
TBS plans to launch the weekly 90-minute block this fall with a comedy lineup that ranges in tone from dark humor to Generation Z ennui. It will be divided into quarter-hours, each comprised of scripted series, culturally relevant docu-series and unconventional creative voices from diverse backgrounds.
Projects include a series about two would-be art thieves, a buddy comedy about a guy guy and his sex doll, and a contemporary take on Soul Train.

In Search Of will be open to festival goers for three days – beginning at noon on Tuesday, March 14th.

Through the ABFF & Turner Writing Contest, writers with no professional television experience are invited to submit pilot scripts for comedy or drama series. One winner chosen from each genre will win a trip to Miami for the 2017 American Black Film Festival, which takes place June 14-18, along with a cash prize and the opportunity to meet with the original programming development teams for Turner’s TBS & TNT.
