“Evelyn” tells the story of a family in Ireland
split apart in the early 50’s because the mother
deserted the family. Desmond Doyle, nicely
played by Pierce Brosnan, changes his ways
and battles the Irish establishment to get his
children back. This beautifully filmed drama
has touches of humor and a noteworthy
performance by Sophie Vavasseur as
Evelyn, the oldest of the three children.
An old-fashioned movie to enjoy.
