Wow, what a lame Press Conference from Apple today. After the customary weeks of speculation Apple delivers a bland lineup of nothing new. Just minor tweaks here and there. Let’s get to the “Mehlights:”
iTunes 9 –
- You can now share your playlists with your friends on Facebook
- There’s a new Genius Mix function that will play “forever,” as opposed to the current Genius which is limited to 25 songs
- Deluxe Albums will include things like Liner Notes, Photos, Videos, etc.
- A streamlined interface (that looks the same to me)
- iTunes Extras brings DVD Like Extras to iTunes Movie Rentals
- New Navigation Enhancements
iPod Touch
- New 64-Gig Model is the top line at $399
- 32-Gig is now $299
- 8-Gig Now $199
- Now has the same CPU as the iPhone 3Gs. Still no Camera
- Tons of new Games coming to the Platform
- iPod Classic gets bumped to 160 Gigs, remains $249
- Iphone/iPod Touch OS 3.1 Now available
iPod Nano Get a lot of nice Tweaks
(Why can’t these features be in the iPod Touch?)
