SAN FRANCISCO, June 7, 2016 — GameSpot, the #1 destination for gamers, will bring the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to life for gamers worldwide with more than 100 hours of original live programming. GameSpot’s expert editorial team will be joined by prominent gaming personalities from YouTube, including iJustine (Justine Ezarik), Kinda Funny and ScrewAttack, to cover every angle of the industry’s biggest show, from the massive press conferences to individual deep dives of the newly announced games. GameSpot’s comprehensive coverage of E3 will begin on June 12 on GameSpot.com.
“E3 sets the tone on what we’ll see from the gaming industry for the entire coming year,” said Michael Powers, Senior Vice President and General Manager for GameSpot. “We want gamers to be right there with us for the excitement of the unexpected news, reviews and demos of all the new games and to experience the energy around E3.”
Two Live Stages to Watch
Main Stage
GameSpot will stream live from two separate stages at E3. The GameSpot Stage, sponsored by Airheads Bites, the brand long loved by people of all ages for its tangy fruit flavor and bright colors, will be the best destination to get a closer look at all the top games announced and previewed this year. Members of GameSpot’s editorial team will chat with developers and demo more than 60 new games, giving gamers worldwide a firsthand look at the most anticipated titles. The GameSpot Stage Show will also be the main destination for reactions to this year’s press conferences and all major stories developing at E3.
The Stage Show will also be a place for the GameSpot team to discuss this year’s biggest stories coming out of the show. In particular, the team will weigh in on the announcements made by console titans Xbox, Sony and Nintendo as well as the future of virtual reality and gaming.
Airheads Bites’ stage presence at E3 will be extended to the GameSpot booth (Booth #4712 in the West Hall) in the form of a giant candy mural depicting the GameSpot logo, created entirely out of thousands of Airheads Bites.
The Co-op Stage
Today, GameSpot released a sneak peek at the cast of well-known gaming personalities who will guest appear on the GameSpot Co-op Stage, sponsored by LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™. The video parodies the intro credits of beloved ’90s sitcoms Full House and Step by Step and features YouTube stars including Justine Ezzarik of iJustine (Justine Ezarik), Kinda Funny and ScrewAttack. The Co-op Stage is at GameSpot’s booth (booth #4712 in the West Hall). The video can be viewed at http://www.gamespot.com/videos/gamespot-teams-up-with-kinda-funny-screwattack-and/2300-6432489/
