Michelle’s Favorite Movies of 2015

Furious-7

I wasn’t going to do a top film list of 2015 for another week or so because there are still a lot of things that I need to see like The Revenant, The Big Short and Creed. I’m almost positive all 3 will¬† make my updated list in a few weeks. Over all I will say I didn’t see nearly as many smaller indie titles as I normally do, but most of the big tent pole films in 2015 really delivered. Seems like the studios really focused on story and character instead of mere spectacle.

My biggest surprise was how much I truly adored The Peanuts Movie (far superior to Inside Out) and keep screaming at anyone who will listen that Mad Max: Fury Road is the most overrated piece of trash I’ve ever seen. I still say Fast and Furious 7 was my favorite movie of 2015.¬† Without further commentary, here’s my list of favs (subject to change in the next few weeks), in no particular order (other than my first 3 picks).

  1. Quite a bit of overlap!

I have yet to see Amy, The Assassin, Being Evel and Trumbo, but the others are all on my list, too – and everything I’ve heard suggests at least two of the others will make my 2016 list (Amy and Trubo would be my bets, right now).
