AMC’S NEW LATE NIGHT SERIES “GEEKING OUT” PREMIERES SUNDAY, AUGUST 14 AT 11 PM ET/PT

Following its special San Diego Comic Con® episode, “Geeking Out” returns Sunday, August 14 at 11 PM ET/PT with all new episodes. AMC’s new late-night talk show, hosted by Kevin Smith (“Comic Book Men,” “Clerks”) and Greg Grunberg (“Heroes, “Heroes Reborn” “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”), takes a timely look at pop culture through a fanboy lens and features talk, celebrity interviews, and out-of-the-studio segments. The following week the show will shift to midnight, its regular timeslot.

In this new episode, Kevin and Greg chat with Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk about their time on the gone-too-soon Joss Whedon series “Firefly” as well as their hilarious web series “Con Man,” which shattered crowd-funding records for the first season. They talk geek news and rumors, and get some behind-the-scenes scoop on the next installments of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Star Wars,” thanks to Nathan and Alan’s upcoming guest-starring roles. Then, our hosts visit Greg’s oldest friend, renowned director J.J. Abrams, on the Universal Studios Backlot to talk about his new HBO series “Westworld,” and reminisce about coming up in the business together.

“Geeking Out,” an AMC and The Weinstein Company co-production, is produced by Matador Content in association with Bandwagon Media with Jerry Carita, Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin, Patrick Reardon, Brad Savage, Smith and Grunberg serving as executive producers.
