There was talk on another topic about DVD, and it got me wondering. Do you prefer widescreen or the standard version of a movie? I prefer widescreen myself because you get the full effect of the theatrical version. I’ve seen standard versions where a character is cut completely out of the scene. I can’t remember what movie it was, but the standard version kept cutting back and forth between characters, while in the widescreen version you see both characters and actually get to see their reactions. Can make a difference in a scene. I can get past the black lines at the top and bottom of my TV screen if the movie is good.
