The New York Film Critics Circle announced the winners of their annual awards – and there were some big surprises!
Best Picture went to a silent film, The Artist; Aaron Sorkin and Steve Zaillian shared Best Screenplay for Moneyball [after Sorkin was snubbed for The Social Network – maybe a make-up call?], and Meryl Streep claimed Best Actress for The Iron Lady. David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tatto was shut out.
