The CW Network is giddy as a school girl over the success of their freshman series THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
In a recent press release of DVR =7 results, the CW announced that The Vampire Diaries had soared to 100% year-to-year growth in The CW’s target demographic, women 18-34, with a 2.6/8, good for a second place ranking in the time period. VAMPIRE also wooed more female teens than any other show on broadcast last night with a 2.8/11, an absolutely batty 155% increase from the time period a year ago. Additionally TVD grew 20% year-to-year in adults 18-34 with a 1.8/6 and 69% in women 18-49 with a 2.2/6. The show also equaled its bloody good total viewer number from a week ago of 3.5M. The episode, titled “You’re Undead To Me,” was mighty fine, btw.
In this Thursday’s episode titled Lost Girls, Stefan tells his story.
IN A FLASHBACK SEQUENCE, STEFAN REVEALS THE SALVATORE FAMILY HISTORY TO ELENA — Elena (Nina Dobrev) demands that Stefan (Paul Wesley) explain the frightening events that have been happening in Mystic Falls. In flashbacks, Stefan explains how his rivalry with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) began. Back in the present, Damon impulsively takes control of Vicki’s (Kayla Ewell) future, and a confused and frightened Vicki runs away. Finally, Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Lockwood (guest star Rob Pralgo) take steps to protect the town. Steven R. McQueen and Zach Roerig also star. Marcos Siega directed the episode written by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec.
Check out sneak peek looks at the episode airing on the CW Network on Thursday October 15th at 8PM EST right before the new episode of Supernatural season 5.
