With Our Souls at Night – the fourth film collaboration between Jane Fonda and Robert Redford – premiering on Netflix at midnight, the streaming service has released a video showing clips from their films together as they talk about their relationship as film partners and friends.
Fifty years after their first movie together (playing newlyweds in Barefoot in the Park), Robert Redford and Jane Fonda co-star in Netflix’s Our Souls at Night – as two lonely souls who unexpectedly find love late in life.
Our Souls at Night will premiere on Netflix – and in select theaters in Los Angels and New York – on September 299th.
There’s no age restriction to falling in love – just ask Addie Moore and Louis Waters.
Jane Fonda and Robert Redford reunite for Our Souls At Night, a Netflix Film, premiering on September 29.
A recent discovery has proven the existence of an afterlife. Now people are killing themselves to get in.
The new trailer for The Discovery highlights the ethical problems caused by the discovery and shows its impact on the world.
The Discovery stars Robert Redford, Rooney Mara, Jason Segel, Riley Keough and Jesse Plemons. It premieres on Netflix on March 31st.
What would happen if it could be proved that the afterlife existed? Would people be killing themselves to get in?
That’s the premise of The Discovery – starring Jason Segel, Rooney Mara, Jesse Plemons, Riley Keough and Robert Redford – premiering on Netflix on March 31st. Check out the trailer after the break.
Robert Redford and Jane Fonda are together again for the first time in decades on Netflix’s Our Souls at Night – based on the novel by Kent Haruf. The first photo featured the duo follows the break.
Our souls at Night also stars Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Judy Greer (Jurassic World), Matthias Schoenaerts (The Danish Girl), and Iain Armitage (Big Little Lies).
Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Fault in Our Stars) adapted the book for film. Our Souls at Night premieres in 2017.
The original Pete’s Dragon was a hybrid live-action/animated film with an animated dragon that attempted to recapture the vibe of Disney’s big hit Mary Poppins. It didn’t quite make it and so it’s joined the ranks of the charming but slight Disney family films that Mary Poppins moved above.
As the choice for a remake, it’s pretty smart because it takes a property with no real baggage and actually does something with it (unlike the live action Cinderella which was a much bigger gamble).
The result is a family film that is pure Disney magic.
Disney is revamping its beloved children’s classic, Pete’s Dragon – taking a slightly more dramatic, atmospheric approach., but with an underlying sense of fun.
The film’s first trailer is an intriguing mix of tones and suggests a film that’s meant for the whole family – not just kids. Check it out after the jump. Pete’s Dragon opens on August 12th.
A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, “Pete’s Dragon” is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
Disney has released a motion poster version of the film’s first one-sheet and it is very cool. Check it out after the jump. Pete’s Dragon stars Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard and will be in theaters on August 12th.
Robert Redford and Nick Nolte together in a movie? Where do I sign up?
A Walk in the Woods is based on the book by Bill Bryson – which I haven’t read, to be honest – about two 44-year olds hiking the Appalachian Trail. Clearly, adjustments have been made to fit Redford and Nolte – but the result is an affecting, fun-filled 104 minutes that could have been called Grumpy Geezers Go on a Great Adventure.
Robert Redford’s new film, Lions For Lambs, is little more than a series of debates carefully staged to embarrass/provoke the current U.S. administration and to persuade people to vote Democratic in the next election – plus some war sequences to show the moronic approach of a wily young senator who might just want to become the next President of the United States.
