Nine series have been announced as part of TNT’s summer schedule – four newbies and five returning. So, whether you’re dying to see how The Closer finishes its run, curious to see what scams the Leverage gang has up its sleeve, are curious see how new series Perception’s paranoid schizophrenic specialist in neuroscience solves crimes, or just looking for some prime soap with Dallas, check out the premiere dates for all the TNT summer shows following the jump.
Besides bringing back seven series for 2011-12 – basic cable’s #1 series Rizzoli & Isles; The Closer; recent Peabody Award winner Men of a Certain Age; Leverage; HawthoRNe; Memphis Beat and Southland – and premiering alien occupation series Falling Skies and the legal drama Franklin & Bash, TNT/TBS are developing an ambitious slate to add to their already highly regarded line-up of original programs.
Among those included are The Closer spin-off, Major Crimes a series of Tuesday Night Mystery movies and The Wedding Band – an hour-long comedy starring Brian Austin Greene [Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles] and Harold Perrineau [Lost]. TNT has announced premiere dates for its summer season – including the launches of its two big new series, Falling Skies and Franklin & Bash. The Steven Spielberg production/Noah Wyle headlining Falling Skies will have its two-hour premiere Sunday, June 19th, while the Mark-Paul Gosselar vehicle, Franklin & Bash premieres on Wednesday, June 1st.

The buddy lawyer series Franklin & Bash [pictured above ], starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue, TNT’s Raising the Bar) and Breckin Meyer (Heroes), has been given a ten episode order by TNT, while TBS has given and eight episode order to the one-hour comedy series Glory Daze, a 1980s-set college comedy.
