TELEVISION: Turner Adds Lawyer Buddy Series Franklin & Bash for TNT; ‘80s College Comedy Glory Daze for TBS!

Franklin & Bash

The buddy lawyer series Franklin & Bash [pictured above ], starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue, TNT’s Raising the Bar) and Breckin Meyer (Heroes), has been given a ten episode order by TNT, while TBS has given and eight episode order to the one-hour comedy series Glory Daze, a 1980s-set college comedy.  Series details follow the jump.

In Franklin & Bash, two young, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants street lawyers cause a seismic culture clash when they join a legendary, button-down law firm.  Meyer plays Jared Franklin, who has a knack for connecting with jury and judge.  Gosselaar is Steven Bash, who loves sticking it to authority every chance he gets.

In addition to Gosselaar and Meyer, Franklin & Bash stars Malcolm McDowell (Heroes, Entourage) as Stanton Infeld, a Renaissance man and the patriarch of the law firm that recruits the two lawyers.  Also starring are Dana Davis (10 Things I Hate About You), Kumail Nanjiani (Michael & Michael Have Issues) and Reed Diamond (Homicide: Life on the Street, Dollhouse) and Garcelle Beauvais (NYPD Blue).

Glory Daze

Glory Daze centers on a group of friends who are trying to navigate college life in 1980s Wisconsin.  From being out on their own for the first time to pledging a fraternity, they discover how challenging the next few years are going to be.

The series stars Kelly Blatz (Aaron Stone), Callard Harris (Sons of Anarchy), Matt Bush (High School), Drew Seeley (Freshman Father), Hartley Sawyer (Killian), Julianna Guill (My Alibi) and Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live, Mean Girls).

Glory Daze is slated to premiere on TBS in late 2010.
