All the rumors of DC Universe’s pending death may be premature, if today’s news is any indication. The Streamer is going big, no HUGE for Comic-Con 2019. While Warner Movies will not be hosting hall H panels, the entire DC universe is going to be all over the show and will have over 47 panels! 47! Featuring everything from comics to animation to tv to film and will have the largest booth at Comic-Con. They are bringing the Shazam Thunder! They are even doing the world premiere of Batman: Hush, Friday night at 7pm. Check out the press release for all the highlights!
Ok, this sounds pretty awesome. If you ever wanted to live Batman’s life, DC and AT&T are teaming up to bring Batman fans something truly special for this year’s Comic-Con. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Batman, DC and AT&T* today announced THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE POWERED BY AT&T, a massive, interactive exhibition that includes the largest-ever collection of Batman-related props, costumes and vehicles. The immersive pop-up museum and gaming-centric installation will transport fans into the crime-fighting world of the Dark Knight and will be open to the public at the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park at 10 a.m. PT from Thursday, July 18th through Sunday, July 21st. No SDCC badge is required to enter this free exhibition. Does this mean we will get the long awaited announcement of the next Batman Game?
I don’t know why people would buy a Blu-ray of a TV Show that’s available on their respective streaming service and this coming from someone who just had to buy a new $500 4K UHD Player. But the critically acclaimed DC Universe series Doom Patrol is coming to Blu-ray, this fall. October 1st to be exact with the Digital release coming August 26th. The set will include all 15 season one episodes and a boatload of extras for $29.99
DC Universe is not playing around, if you haven’t checked out the service, run, don’t walk. After the critical success of their wonderfully weird Doom Patrol, they are going obscure again with the classic DC series Swamp Thing. From the opening sequence to the end of the 2nd episode I was hooked. There’s just something wonderfully creepy and cinematic about the unique viewing experience. Swamp Thing launches on the DC Universe App, May 31st.
What up people? One of my favorite Batman stories, Batman: Hush is finally coming to glorious 4K UHD on August 13th, my Birthday month so Warner Home Video if you are listening, I doubt you are, my Birthday. Yep, it’s my birthday month. Just saying, it hits digital July 20th, right in the middle of SDCC. So you know what this means? They are definitely having a screening of this movie during San Diego Comic Con. I really hate that digital and physical releases aren’t day and date anymore, drives me NUTS. I won’t be buying a digital version of this because it’ll be available on DCUniverse soon after release, however, I love my physical media. Press release, details and trailer below.
DC Universe has released a holiday teaser for Doom Patrol.
Set to tiny Tim’s rendition of Tiptoe Through the Tulips, our heroes pose for holiday photos while we hear their thoughts on the subject.
Doom Patrol premieres on DC Universe February 15th.
Rejoice DC Fans you finally have the Batman you’ve always wanted to see on television! Only it’s not Batman, it’s Robin and he is kicking so much ass that I was giggling like a schoolgirl. I didn’t talk about my reaction to the Comic-Con trailer in July because I was decidedly meh about it. My initial reaction was “Oh joy, a dark, grim, Robin…How original.” I brushed the show off as just going for the look at how edgy we are,“tee-hee, fuck Batman”. However, Titans is much more than that and I was blown away by how much I’m loving this show. The launch trailer did not do the series justice.
DC Universe kicked Comic-Con 2018 off with a bang today with the long awaited debut of their first DC Universe original – Titans and it looks like its going to be everything Teen Titans fans would want in a live action series. I normally don’t do trailer breakdowns, but I may have to do one this weekend.
Yesterday, DC Universe held their first ever live stream from Wondercon. I wish more companies would stream their panels, makes my life so much easier! Stream gave us lots of interesting tidbits on the brand new Sandman Universe, new Justice League and Teen Titan books and we found out that the Joker is not going to be happy about Batman’s upcoming nuptials. Honestly, I’m sick to death of the Joker and have no desire to read that one. Batman Metal will also conclude this week and will have big repercussions throughout the Universe. Check out the full press release.

Check out this trailer for DC Universe Online. I’m not a fan of online only games, I’m looked at this trailer and thought – man, I wish it had a single player campaign. Rumor has it, this is going to be a big part of Sony’s Press Conference. They have been teasing this game for almost 3 years now, so I’m curious to see the finished product.
