Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is not as fresh and unexpected as Vol. 1 – how could it be?
Instead, Vol. 2 follows the Star Wars plan of taking the characters who came together in Vol. 1 and separating them into unexpected combinations to dig into who they are – while engaging in explosive hijinx and, yes, saving the galaxy (and probably the universe), again.
Chris Pratt received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday – accompanied by his on and off screen families.
While this is not the kind of news Eclipse usually covers, this is a slightly unusual case – it’s not been that long since Pratt was the pudgy fifth/sixth lead on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Plus, Pratt’s new blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a mere two weeks away.
Now he’s a superstar of the big screen and, as Bashful Benjamin J. Grimm would put it, ‘The idol o’ millions.’ Also, Prat went old school for the event in a three-piece suit that practically screamed Old Hollywood.
Colin Trevorrow – director of Jurassic World and co-write the script for the upcoming sequel – has released the first photo from Jurassic World 2 and it is intriguing.
Reminiscent of the study of original Jurassic Park creator Professor John Hammond, the photo features a girl standing, back to us, looking at the skeleton of a triceratops – with what look skeletons of velociraptors flank the Big T in the middle.
Who is the girl, we have to ask – is she descended from Hammond? Does she have a connection to Jurassic World’d Owen and Claire?
Hopefully, we’ll find out before the film premieres on June 22nd, 2018.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt find themselves awakened from suspended animation thirty years into a 120-year voyage from Earth to a new colony on Homestead II. Their meeting isn’t particularly cute – it’s kind of creepy – but since they’re stuck there…

How’s this for two reveals in one post? The first poster for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the teaser trailer!
The poster has a kind of noir-ish feel to it and – wait! Where are Rocket and Groot? Mystery! (See: noir-ish?) Not to worry, there’s a glimpse of them in the teaser. Plus a hug. And Yondu gone full mohawk.
It’s all disturbingly entertaining. Check it out after the jump. You’re welcome. Obviously.
