Your Highness Movie Review

James Franco is a weird actor. He’s one of those guys who seems like he’d be cool to hang out and have a beer with, but as an actor always lacked that certain something. With Pineapple Express he seems to hit upon the Sean Penn stoner gimmick which he milks again with the adventure/comedy Your Highness. I don’t know who Chi McBride is or why he’s even starring in a movie, but he and Franco are good together in this.

On January 17, 2009 The FOX network debuted an action series titled Human Target. The series concept was based on a highly popular DC comic book character, Christopher Chance created by by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino. In the comic book series, Chance was a unique combination of private detective and bodyguard who operated by impersonating his clients in order to eliminate threats to their safety. FOX changed up the character for the series and instead of assuming the identities of his clients, Christopher Chance (played by Mark Valley) takes on nondescript cover identities that keep him close to the “target” he has been hired to protect. The first season of Human Target didn’t do as well in the ratings as expected given the action-packed premise of the series. However fans embraced it and so did the network, which renewed it for a second season. Human Target also stars Chi McBride as ops manager Winston and Jackie Earle Haley as techno genius/fixer Guerrero who help the mysterious and heroic Christopher Chase protect the good guys from the bad guys even if it means piloting a distressed, upside-down jumbo jet!

If you haven’t seen the first season of Human Target, now is the perfect time to catch up with all the action as Human Target: The Complete First Season is released onto DVD.
