Disney’s live-action The Jungle Book has a spiffy new teaser trailer – giving us a look at the world in which Mowgli thrives. We get first looks at some of the boy’s friends and enemies – Baloo, Shere Khan, Kaa, Bagheera and King Louis.
Take a peek at Rudyard Kipling’s famous characters as imagined by writer Justin Mark and director Jon Favreau following the jump. The Jungle Book will be in theaters on April 15, 2016.
A romantic comedy about a military contractor, his ex and the Air Force watchdog assigned to keep him out of trouble? Nope, it’s not based on a Nicholas Sparks novel (though it does star a few alumni of Sparks-based movies).

Amidst the high-powered signings of the likes of Christopher Walken, Scarlett Johannson, Lupita Nyong’o and Ben Kingsley to voice beloved characters of Disney’s The Jungle Book, it became apparent that a certain lovable, bumbling, kind-hearted bear had yet to be cast.
Now the movie has its Baloo and that it is Bill Murray makes perfect sense.
The official announcement came down from Disney this morning. The hybrid live-action/animated Disney’s The Jungle Book will premiere on October 9, 2015.
