FRIDAY THE 13TH
In Theatres Friday, February 13
Welcome back to Crystal Lake in a chilling re-imagining of the classic horror film “Friday the 13th.”
Searching for his missing sister, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki, Supernatural) heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees.
And that’s not the only thing lying in wait under the brush. Little do they know, they’ve entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history–the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete… Jason Voorhees.
“Friday the 13th” is directed by Marcus Nispel and stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Aaron Yoo, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle, and Derek Mears as Jason.
The movie is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, who together produced “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “The Amityville Horror,” and original “Friday the 13th” producer/director Sean Cunningham.
As this brand new re-imagining of the 1980 horror/slasher classic Friday The 13th draws closer to big screen release of February 13th (yes folks that’s a Friday), Paramount Pictures and Warner Brothers is amping up the promotion and they have released some really cool promo pictures for media outlets like Eclipse Magazine to share with their readers.
So while we wait for the big screen release of the brand new Friday The 13th, check out the amazing promo shots for the movie that have been provided by Warner Brothers Distribution. Photos by John P. Johnson.

NOt a huge horor fan, but I will have to catch this one. Why,? Probably beacuase I am being sucked in by all the promotions out there.
The simple fact that this film is in the “Friday the 13th” franchise guarantees success based on the built-in fanbase. Hopefully the story will be at a level above a typical slasher, where dialogue is simply filler in between the next bloody, gory kill scene. The recent “My Bloody Valentine 3D” managed to give some substance to its story between the kills… hope this retooling of F13 manages to do the same.
