He was one of the most influential players in history – a virtuoso on the electric bass, a true musical genius. He played with everyone who was everyone and was one of the reasons the jazz group Weather Report became a global sensation.
His name was Jaco Pastorius and his brief life, he accomplished more than most people could achieve in two lifetimes. Jaco is the story of his life and achievements told by the people who were there – and those on whom his influence left its mark, including an impressive array of musicians: Flea, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Geddy Lee and more.
