Because you all have hounded me for years to get into the Podcasting game, EclipseMagazine.com has partnered with former EM Writer Christopher Fox Troilo to bring you a brand new Podcast – Geek Scholars. GeekScholars Movie News is now presented by Eclipse Magazine! We are excited to enter this new partnership with such an awesome group of people dedicated to the entertainment industry! The show is hosted by four friends who just gab about all things movies. Who knows you may get the occasional guest appearance from yours truly and other EM staffers. What makes me excited about this new partnership is it meets my criteria of bringing you EM Fans a Podcast without my having to do the actual work. So this is an all around “Win, Win.” Hit the break for details on this week’s Episode!
You can listen right here.
On this episode of GeekScholars Movie News, we dive into the recently announced 2012 Academy Award nominations, with the first in a four-part series where we discuss the nominees for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress. From there we take a look at all of the great (and a few not-so-great) movies being released this February with our tips on which flicks are not to be missed. Next, we have some info on a new Romeo and Juliet movie in the works as well as some thoughts on a potential Darren Aronofsky project regarding an adaptation of the biblical story aboutNoah. We also have some reviews of One for the Money and The Grey, which features a brand new segment from GeekScholar Jill entitled “Yeah, I Don’t Think So…”.
We would love to hear from you, so please submit comments or questions to us by writing to: ma**@ge**********.com. Mail is awesome! Thanks, as always, to the 440 Alliance for allowing us to use their music!
