I think one of my new bucket list items is to get it together to do Sundance one of these years. Believe it or not I’ve never been to a film festival. So I might as well start with the big kahuna. Sundance runs Jan 21 – 31st. If you hit the Powerball this week, you can do still go and do it up right. Tickets are still available for through the VIP Concierge.
Like any film buff knows, The Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent cinema festival in the United States. The festival is a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. It takes place every year in Park City, Utah. It was conceptualized and started by film star Robert Redford, who wanted to give indie film makers a venue to display their works.
Down through the years, Sundance has debuted many critically acclaimed films from directors who would have been unheard of otherwise. Additionally, Park City is an exceptionally gorgeous spot to hang and do during January. The 2016 Sundance Film Festival will be running from January 21 to January 31. Films will be shown at several venues, so it’s best to check out which ones you want to see and rate them according to your personal demand. That way, if one of the films you want to see is sold out, you can swiftly shift gears and see another one.
This festival is a terrific vacation after the holidays and an experience you’ll never forget. The Sundance Film Festival is probably the most famous and exclusive film festival in the United States. Only the Canned Film Festival in France has more hype surrounding it.
