Boy, when they advertised it as “a new beginning” they weren’t kidding. It felt like a series finale.
It had lots of bad points ( horrible exposition in the beginning, more Garner t&a than they usually give to appease superbowl viewers, and the worst…. Syd revealing herself to Dixon in 30 seconds…woah). But the final 15 minutes made my jaw drop to the floor. I’d read about there being a surprise ending but totally forgot about it. Then Sark calls Sloane. I should’ve known he was the puppetmaster behind the takedown of the Alliance.
Great twist! But, that’s not all. Sark calls someone who from the back looks like Anna Espinosa. She turns around and reveals herself to be Francie! No, not Francie…. a FauxFrancie. RealFrancie has been shot between the eyes. Who else thought it would be Will’s blood on that wall ?
JJ Abrams pulled it off. He placated the Alias fans who thought Francie was useless, while keeping the actress employed. So, who is this FauxFrancie ? Is it Anna ? Did they decide to take care of the problem of the actress leaving to do another show by changing her appearance ?
