Win The Princess Bride 20th Anniversary DVD!

The Princess Bride DVD EclipseMagazine.com Giveaway

Talk about triple dipping, one of my all time favorite movies – The Princess Bride has a yet another DVD Edition coming out in honor of its 20th anniversary. I think this DVD, this is a 2 disk feature packed set. I’m not sure what those features are, but it’ll probably contain everything that was on the last set, which was an AMAZING package! It’s one of the most flawless movies you’ll ever see – it has action, romance, drama, and is hysterically funny. I LOVE this film and if you don’t already own one of the many versions of this film.

  1. Any film that bring together the comedic talents of Billy Crystal, wrestler Andre the Giant, and child star Fred Savage can’t be all bad. Not to mention, Columbo’s own Peter Falk. This film is packed with stars and heart. Triple dipping may be overdoing it, but this film remains one of my all time favorites 20 years later ! Good luck to all of the folks entering the contest !

  2. Yeah I remember watching this in theaters when it came out it’s amazing how well this movie still holds out. It really was one of the big movies that both boys and girls could like for totally different reasons.

On does hate the triple dip, but it’s still not as many times as StarGate has been re-released. 😛

  3. That’s weird it posed me as Anonymous.

  4. Wow. It’s been 11 years since I saw this movie. I remember I was in HS. My friends were talking about this movie and I told them I had never seen it. They were shocked. They lectured me on how THIS movie laid the foundation for so many of the comedies made after it. I beg to differ & dismissed it. But, a week later, what was originally a horror movie night was really an EXPOSE KITTY TO WHAT SHE HAS BEEN MISSING night. They sat me down & we all watched Princess Bride. Till this day, I still point out movie lines or movie parts that I see in other movies that I believe came from THIS movie = )

  5. The Princess Bride is one of my all-tie favorite films. Ever since I saw the movie back on HBO back when I was 7, I fell head over heels. It had everything in a fantasy film. Swashbucklers, damsel-in-distress, giants, wizardry, and of course my 2 favorite things in the films. ROUS and the Dread Pirate Roberts! The culture impact of the Princess Bride is amazing. When I went to Rocky Horror screening on Halloween, one of the lines from the audience during the final scenes of RPHS was my favorite line of the film, “Hello, my name in Inigo Montoya. You killed my father prepare to die.” When I heard that line, it took me back to the first time I watched the film. I highly recommend this fantasy tale to kids of all ages.

wow its been 20yrs? its interesting to see how Robin w-Penn’s roles have changed over the years. But this is a classic that we all grew up with. Though not a princess myself, its nice to know that we can all aspire.

  7. Hah. I remember going to see this at BYU, and it turned out to be something almost like a Rocky Horror Picture Show. People dressed up in costume, quoted lines at the movie, it was a lot of fun. Meanwhile, my family is constantly quoting it at each other. You have no idea how many occasions crop up in which it’s appropriate to tell someone “Hah! You’ve committed one of the classic blunders!” Truly a movie that stands the test of time and one that I enjoy sharing with my family.

The first time I saw this I was a little girl and I was completely in love with Wesley. I used to play dress up and pretend I was Princess Buttercup. My favorite part of movie is when Wesley can’t even walk but still comes to save Buttercup.

  9. I was young, so I don’t have many memories of my first time. I love to rent it now and would love to have a copy to show my twin children.
