Dark Horse Comics has announced the return of one of comics’ most legendary independent creations – Stan Sakai’s samurai rabit, Usagi Yojimbo, in a brand new six-issue miniseries, Usagi Yojimbo: Senso (above left). Set twenty years from his present, General Miyamoto Usagi’s army and the forces of the treacherous Lord Hikiji are locked in their final battle when the unexpected happens – a metal rocket crashes to earth, bringing an enemy they could never have imagined.
Usagi Yojimbo: Senso will be in stores on August 6th. Also upcoming is The Usagi Yojimbo Saga: Volume 1 (above right) – a omnibus collection celebrating the character’s thirtieth anniversary.
