The Walking Dead Finale Is Tonight on Streaming Services Everywhere

This season of The Walking Dead has been crazy. Unfortunately, all of the craziest parts involve spoilers, so I won’t go too far into those other than to state the obvious: Negan is coming! If you read the comics, you know all about Negan. If you don’t read the comics, but are following the show you still know that Negan is a pretty bad dude. He hasn’t show up, but he’s on his way… and it’s a likely guarantee that he will make the finale an explosive one.

If you’re a cord cutter you might be used to trying to avoid spoilers. Luckily, there are plenty of legal ways to watch The Walking Dead finale online without having to miss a second, so you don’t have to worry about any spoilers ruining the show for you!

Sling TV

Sling TV is a live stream service, which means you get to watch The Walking Dead as it airs on TV. You can watch Sling TV on a variety of devices, so you’re not just stuck watching it online. The basic package, which gives you AMC, costs $20 a month, but with the free 7-day trial they have, you could sign up right before the finale and watch it for free. Can’t watch the show the day it airs? Don’t worry – you’ll also have access to the episode for a limited time on demand.

Playstation Vue

Playstation Vue is another live stream service that will allow you to watch The Walking Dead. On the plus side, you can watch when the show is on so you won’t have to worry about spoilers. On the negative, your options to watch are limited to the PS3 or PS4, Chromecast, or Amazon Fire TV. The service costs more than Sling TV ($29.99 a month), and they do offer a free trial. T’s also worth noting that, while the service does support iOS devices, there is limited mobile access.

Amazon Instant Video

If you’re willing to wait until the day after the finale has aired on TV, Amazon is a good choice. You can buy new episodes for $2 or you can buy a season pass and get the entire season. The obvious downside here is that you’re going to have to hide from the Internet the night of the finale because spoilers are always rampant.

Other On-Demand Services

Like Amazon, you can opt for services like Vudu, MGo, or iTunes. These are all delivered the next day, so you won’t be able to watch the finale when it airs, but you will have next day access, so it’s just a matter of your personal preference. All of these options allow you to watch on a variety of devices, and they are between $2-$3, so it’s not very expensive, and it’s a quick way to ensure you see the finale right after it airs.

If you’re like most people, the loss of The Walking Dead will undoubtedly leave a hole in your heart until it returns. You can still get your zombie fix on though, as just a week after the finale, the premiere of Fear the Walking Dead season two occurs (you can find your online viewing options for that here). This prequel, which is currently available in its entirety on Hulu, offers a fresh take on the part of the apocalypse we missed while Rick was in a coma. When Fear the Walking Dead winds down, you will get a sneak peek of AMC’s newest comic book venture, Preacher, which will air on May 22 as a special preview before beginning its actual first season, in June.
