NBC’s The Voice is introducing The Voice 360: Be The Coach a virtual reality fan experience that could put you in a chair at The Voice’s blind auditions using Oculus Rift Technology.
Beginning today, in New York and ending on Monday, September 22nd, The Voice 360 will cross the country with four coaches chairs. Fans can sit in the chairs and, via a virtual reality headset, see the entire The Voice set and reach out to the coaches seated virtually beside them – Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

The Voice (Mondays, 8p, ET/Tuesdays,9pm, ET) is introducing a new twist that is going to completely change the game – the Instant Save! On Tuesday, after the three artists in danger of being eliminated are revealed, everyone at home will have one last chance to save one of the artists. When Carson gives signal, viewers will have five minutes to save someone by tweeting #VoiceSave and the artist’s first name. Watch the video (following the jump) for more details.

The Voice has enlisted one legend and three stars to become advisers on The Voice. Winner of an Oscar®, an Emmy®, a Grammy® and three Golden Globes®, Cher will become adviser to coach Blake Clark; young phenom Ed Sheeran will work with Christina Aguilera; producer/OneRepublic-founder Ryan Tedder teams with Adam Levine, and Grammy®-winner Miguel will be paired with CeeLo Green.

Beginning Saturday, April 6th, NBC is shifting Smash from its primetime Tuesday slot to Saturdays. The Voice will encore on Sunday, March 31st and April 6th, leading into new episodes of Celebrity Apprentice – which will expand to two-hour episodes thereafter (can you say ‘burn them off?’).

NBC’s The Voice [Mondays, 8/7C] finishes its ‘Battle rounds’ next week. With Week Three of the ‘Battles’ upon us, the winners/survivors from last week took part in a Q&A to talk about their stories: who they are, how they got to this point, what their expectations are and what it feels like to be where they are heading into the live shows.
Taking part were: Kim Yarbrough [Team Adam], Charlotte Sometimes [Team Blake], Juliet Simms and Jamar Rogers [Team Cee Lo] and Sera Hill and Lindsey Parvao [Team Christina].
Note: At one point in the proceedings, the transcriber mis-hears someone’s name as Tammy – despite none of the participants’ names remotely resembling Tammy – and so, one response is credited to Tammy. NBC released its summer schedule today and surprise! It’s mostly unscripted [reality] shows! The lone scripted programming will be new episodes of the re-tooled Law & Order: Los Angeles. Re-purposed shows are: the final season of Friday Night Lights – fresh from its final season run on DirecTV, and the final season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent – fresh from its run on USA Network. The news unscripted shows are: It’s Worth What? And Love In The Wild. Returning shows include The Voice and America’s Got Talent. Sounds pretty weak to me. Details follow the jump.
