Blu-ray Review: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Saving the Galaxy From Boredom, Again!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is not as fresh and unexpected as Vol. 1 – how could it be?

Instead, Vol. 2 follows the Star Wars plan of taking the characters who came together in Vol. 1 and separating them into unexpected combinations to dig into who they are – while engaging in explosive hijinx and, yes, saving the galaxy (and probably the universe), again.

It’s a fun ride that almost equals the original for brashness, humor and wit – but with a bit more real drama. And yes, we do learn more about the characters – Star Lord in particular.

James Gunn Releases Guardians’ Inferno Music Video!

James Gunn has released into the wilds of the galaxy a strange new music video featuring members of the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – a wicked wacky production of the Sneepers’ disco hit Inferno, featuring David Hasselhoff.

It has to be seen to be believed!

The Guardians’ Inferno music video will be included in the home video release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – on Digital August 8th, on Blu-ray and DVD on August 22nd.

Chris Pratt Receives Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Chris Pratt received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday  – accompanied by his on and off screen families.

While this is not the kind of news Eclipse usually covers, this is a slightly unusual case – it’s not been that long since Pratt was the pudgy fifth/sixth lead on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Plus, Pratt’s new blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a mere two weeks away.

Now he’s a superstar of the big screen and, as Bashful Benjamin J. Grimm would put it, ‘The idol o’ millions.’ Also, Prat went old school for the event in a three-piece suit that practically screamed Old Hollywood.

Meetings Can Be Murder! Character Posters Released for The Belko Experiment!

You know those motivational posters you can find in a lot of workspaces? Well, Belko Industries has a few of those, too – and they are singularly appropriate. On the following gallery, double click to embiggen.

In a twisted social experiment, a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata, Colombia and ordered by an unknown voice coming from the company’s intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed.

If the employees kill 30 of their own, the rest will go free; if they don’t, they are told that 60 will be killed. It’s up to them which happens.

The Belko Experiment opens on March 17th.
