Probably the CW series with the most potential to be a hit, come fall, is The Flash. The two-part introduction of Barry Allen on Arrow were among the show’s best episodes; the teaser trailers for the show have been great fun, and three clips featuring Tom Cavanaugh (Dr. Harrison Wells, S.T.A.R. Labs) and Candice Patton (Iris West) suggest that the cast are having a great time making the show.

When Grant Gustin (above, with Steven Amell) was cast as Barry Allen for a two-episode arc on Arrow, there were a lot of naysayers. The, he nailed the part and excitement for his appearance in costume as The Flash mounted. Then we learned that he would not appear on a later episode of Arrow, but that The Flash was getting a pilot – and that if it sold, we’d have to wait until fall to see the Scarlet Speedster in action (and, of course, there would be the possibility that the pilot might not sell…).
Now, Warner Brothers has released the first photo of Gustin in the costume. It’s just a headshot, but it looks pretty cool. Check it out after the jump. The pilot goes into production next week.
