The story centers around Mexican detective Marco Ruiz played by Demian Bichir and El Paso detective Sonya Night played by Diane Kruger as they join forces to find a serial killer menacing both nations along the Bridge Of Americas at the Texas-Chihuahua border. It premieres on July 9, Wed. 10/9c on FX.

The lights go out on the bridge and, when they blink on again, there is a woman’s body carefully placed on the exact borderline between the two countries.

FX’s The Bridge (premiering on Wednesday, July 10, 10/9C) centers on the forced collaboration of a Mexican detective, part of the Chihuahua State Police, with an El Paso homicide detective with Aspergers to solve the murder of a woman found precisely centered on the midpoint of the bridge – essentially, smack dab on the borderline – between El Paso and Juarez – making both jurisdictions responsible for solving it.
The series stars Diane Kruger as El Paso detective Sonya North and Demian Bichir as Chihuahua State Police officer Marco Ruiz.
