As we get closer to the new season, NBC has made a number of videos available in support of its unique take on a post-apocalyptic world. In Revolution, from J.J. Abrams (Alias, Fringe, Lost) and Eric Kripke (Supernatural), the apocalyspe isn’t some nuclear holocaust, it’s something much subtler and yet, far more pervasive: everything run by electricity just stops – the lights go out; cars stop running; planes fall from the sky.
Revolution posits a world that is forced to revert to simpler ways but hasn’t yet forgotten what it’s lost – a world in which the best and worst of humanity are brought to the fore. Being a J.J., Abrams project, there is a mystery that we become privy to over the course of the series. A death sets off a quest and there will be swashbuckling action.
Revolution premieres on September 17th, 2012, at 10/9C.
