Broadway’s Stars in The Alley Announces Line-up

Stars-In-The-Alley

One of my favorite events of the year is the Broadway League’s “Stars In The Alley event. It’s a free event where most of the active musicals on Broadway put on a free concert for the public in the alley by NYC’s famed Shubert Theatre. Over 15 shows are participating in this event making it a great way to get a taste of the best of Broadway. It’s sort of a preview/dress rehearsal for the Tony Awards – without the pomp. The full line-up for this year’s show, hosted by Hedwig and the Angry Inch Star Darrin Criss is below.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, will be hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Stars in the Alley will take place on Wednesday, May 27th from 10:30am-12:30pm in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.

To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District will celebrate Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra.
