A Real Bad Egg Trailer: Hunt for the Wilderpeople!

Ricky Baker is a bad egg – if you can believe the social worker who places him with foster parents Bella and Hec. Surprisingly, he finds himself feeling at home with Aunt Bella, Uncle Hec and their dog Tupac – until a tragedy occurs that could place him in yet another home. So Ricky and Uncle Hec head off into the wilderness.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok) and stars Sam Neill and Julian Dennision. It opens in the U.S. and Canada this summer. Follow the jump for the new trailer.

Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family: the loving Aunt Bella, the cantankerous Uncle Hec, and dog Tupac. When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush. As a national manhunt ensues, the newly branded outlaws must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family.
