There are worse things than going on an adventure later in life and a quartet of older, accomplished gentlemen deciding to go to Asia is cool enough by itself – but when those four accomplished gentlemen are Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman, it’s something else again.

Better Late Than Never (NBC, Tuesdays, 10/9C) follows the quartet – and their sidekick, comedian Jeff Dye – as they visit the Far East and, yes, wackiness ensues.

You’ve conquered the ’50s as Artur Fonzarelli; you’ve conquered the universe as Captain James T. Kirk; you’ve conquered the NFL repeatedly as quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers; you’ve owned the ring as heavyweight champion of the world.

Now, late in life, you still have that to achieve. What do you do?

If you’re Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George foreman, you get together – along with comedian Jeff Dye – and set out to invade Asia. And hijinx ensue.

NBC’s Better Than Never premieres on Tuesday, August 23rd (10/9C). Brace yourselves…

When you hear the name William Shatner the first thing that comes to mind is probably Star Trek and with good reason. The iconic TV series has a cult following that has stood the test of time and William Shatner’s Captain Kirk has played a large part in the franchises continued success. But what you don’t know is that beyond the galaxy of (haha yes I went there) of Shatner’s science fiction superstar dome is a world of comedy, theater and lifetime of stories you may just be surprised to discover.

In his latest adventure, William Shatner has returned to his theater roots to star in a one-man show named “Shatner’s World” where he recounts his career in entertainment from his days in theater to Star Trek and beyond. It’s an entertaining, funny and surprisingly poignant look into the life and times of one of America’s most icon entertainers.

I recently had the chance to chat with Mr. Shatner about “Shatner’s World”. Take a peak at this wild ride just after the jump.

“Shatner’s World” hits 700 theaters across the U.S. Thursday, April 24th. Check http://shatnersworld.com for times and locations in your area!

Movie News: 80’s TV Series T J Hooker Headed to Big Screen as an Action Comedy

hooker

In 1982 CBS began airing the TV police drama T.J. Hooker, which starred William Shatner as tough-as-nails veteran police officer Sgt. T.J. Hooker, who rode the beat with his rookie partner Vince Romano played by Adrien Zmed. They were joined by sexy officer Stacy Sheridan played by Heather Locklear and James Darren who played officer Jim Corrigan.

Earlier this week plans were announced by T. J. Hooker creator Rick Husky to fast forward his 80’s crime drama into a big screen action comedy. No casting for the movie has been announced yet and no word on whether William Shatner will be involved. However the movie production company is currently in talks with Chuck Russell (The Scorpion King) to come on board for director duties and the writing partners of Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson (Wild Wild West, Tremors) will be in charge of the script for the T. J. Hooker movie.

No production date is set.
