The 2011 Teen Choice Awards were unusual for any number of reasons – not the least of which was that the latest Twilight movie didn’t glom onto every award in sight. As a result, there was more than the usual amount of suspense as the winners were revealed. Indeed, wizards and tourists also hoisted surfboards on the movie side, while vampires of the non-sparkly variety won a few of the many awards on the television side.
Even some of the presenters – like Emma Stone [pictured] – received awards [in Stone’s case for Actress – Comedy, for Easy A]. Taylor Swift took home the Ultimate Choice Award. The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco hosted, but the show was shut out.

The folks at EW did an interview with the Cast of Twilight at Comic-Con. I know I’m one to talk, especially with all the hair issues I’m going through now but what is going on with Kristen Stewart’s hair? Here’s the video.

No he’s not coming to write for us! We are talking about casting news for the next movie in the Twilight Saga.

Word out of the entertainment industry sources is that 24 year old Australian actor Xavier Samuel has been cast in the role of a newly created vampire named Riley. Riley will become an accomplice to the machinations of the evil Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) in her plot to do away with Bella (Kristin Stewart).
Xavier, while relatively unknown to American audiences, is no stranger to playing roles in the horror genre. He appeared in the Australian horror movie the Loved Ones.
Eclipse, which will be Samuel Xavier’s first role in a US film, is set to begin shooting next month in Vancouver and will be released on June 30, 2010. David Slade is directing from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
