The first movie in the series had one really good action sequence and a bit of clever banter but largely a waste of space.
Out of the Shadows makes a more than casual nod to the delightful animated series of the eighties and, when it gets it right is definitely an improvement. Then it squanders those improvements for a harebrained subplot that builds resentment between the brothers.
Remember that shot of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen at a grave from earlier this season? Well, the new trailer for the second half of the season suggests that there are several characters who could wind up occupying that unfortunate bit of real estate.
On the plus side we get to see Roy’s return (unless he’s back because of the person in the grave…), a punch thrown in anger by Curtis Holt (the future Mr. Terrific) and a quick glimpse of Kitana – plus the Green Arrow taking an arrow and more!
During heir panels at the annual paean to quality television that is PaleyFest, the executive producers of Arrow and The Flash teased their audiences with a couple of dazzling sizzle reels to give them a taste of the rest of those shows’ current seasons.
Those reels were pirated and posted to YouTube but, from all accounts, were pretty fuzzy and more than a little askew. As the way of Greg Berlanti & Co., realizing that their sizzle reels had gone public, they decided to post the actual reels so that everyone could see what all the fuss was about.
Follow the jump to check out the PaleyFest sizzle reels for Arrow and The Flash (which return this week on The CW).
It’s the crossover all superhero TV fans have been waiting for – The Arrow vs. The Flash. Let’s just say that the conversation/debate on who would win – when they’re not teaming up to stop a metahuman bad guy – is part of the fun.
Flash vs. Arrow, Part1 airs on The Flash on Tuesday, December 2 (The CW, 8/7C). Check out the full trailer after the jump.
